Biography
Lukman Fashina works in the Land and Resources (I&IT) Cluster, Ministry of Natural Resources, Ontario Public Service (OPS), Canada, as a Tabular Database Specialist.
Prior to joining the OPS, He worked at Science Systems and Applications, Inc., USA, as a National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) DEVELOP National Program (Geospatial) Researcher. Pocatello (node), Idaho, USA, where he collaboratively used and integrated NASA Earth observations to inform water resources management strategies and decision-making for livestock farmers. He also worked as a Research Associate focusing on energy and environment at a policy think tank in Lagos, Nigeria.
He obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria, (MS) graduate degrees in Geosciences (Geospatial Analysis track), Sustainable Water Management (Water, Energy, and Food specialization) and Geosciences (Petroleum Exploration) from East Tennessee State University, Johnson City, TN, USA, Tufts University, Medford, MA, USA, and Pan African University Ibadan, Nigeria, respectively.
Lukman enjoys watching wildlife and historical documentaries for leisure. He also engages in volunteering and has volunteered for numerous educational and community development activities.
