Water - energy - food nexus

The 5th CACCC-2023 will bring together all stakeholders to discuss climate mitigation and adaptation actions, relevant initiatives to achieve cross-sectoral climate resilience. It is expected that participants of the 5th CACCC will learn about the progress and institutional arrangements for implementation of NDCs by the Central Asian countries, governance and financial arrangements for implementation of sector-specific strategies at the national and local scales, and available platforms for regional climate cooperation.

The Conference will aim to inspire action-oriented commitments by stakeholders at all levels. These commitments will comprise the “Water Action Agenda” – a platform for voluntary commitments and new and innovative approaches.

The Multi-Stakeholder Thematic Webinars will be held virtually as an additional opportunity for stakeholders to prepare for the UN 2023 Water Conference, including to encourage their contributions to the Water Action Agenda.  

The 13th IWA International Conference on Water Reclamation and Reuse hosted by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) will be held from 15th – 19th January 2023. 

The 1st IAHR and 4th CAE International Conference on Global Water Security and Sustainable Development will be held by the Yangtze Institute for Conservation and Development, Hohai University and Nanjing Hydraulic Research Institute in Nanjing (China) from October 30th to November 3rd, 2023.

The 9th IWA-ASPIRE Conference and Exhibition 2023 is a collaborative cross-sector platform playing a transformative role in providing an innovative and comprehensive overview of the latest developments and solutions for the sustainable management of water resources. The event aims to gather views and opinions from around the world with a focus on the Asia-Pacific region.

The central theme of the conference is 

Water is for all, including humans and nature. As a precious natural resource, water plays a vital role in meeting human needs, preserving the environment and developing our countries. Thus, water management should consider, coordinate and balance the various needs, and fundamentally achieve harmony, which embodies a dynamic, coordinated, appropriate and equitable relationship, between humans and nature.
