Copernicus for Africa
Free registration
There is still a need in the African region for the development of technologies for the effective management of water supply. Satellite images may hold the key to resolving this issue. Processed satellite data can aid in flood mapping and drought forecasting, considerably enhancing the efficiency of water use. In this context, the partnership between the EU and Africa on the implementation of Copernicus services contributes to sustainable development, scientific cooperation, and the socioeconomic growth of African countries.
During this webinar, the results and possibilities for growing collaboration in the Copernicus aquatic applications for Africa will be emphasized.

- Aytor Naranjo - Business Development Director at Lobelia will be presenting an operational service for flood forecasting in West Africa: Fanfar
- Ruvimbo Samanga - Space Law, Executive Secretary at International Moon Day Group and Founder at AgriSpace will be presenting Fundamental Laws for Water Resource Management in Africa Using Copernicus EO Data: Matching legal drafting to the objectives of the Decade for Action on Water for Sustainable Development, 2018-2028.
