Biography
Dr. Mengyi Jin is currently serving as an intern at the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA), where she contributes to projects related to space-based solutions for water resource management. She received her Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the School of Ocean and Civil Engineering at Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2024. From 2021 to 2023, she was a visiting Ph.D. student at Trinity College Dublin, where she conducted interdisciplinary research on urban environmental monitoring.
Her research focuses on the intersection of urban planning, environmental engineering, and sustainability, with particular expertise in urban air quality monitoring, spatial analysis, and the role of green infrastructure in mitigating pollution. Dr. Jin has hands-on experience in field data collection, environmental modeling, and GIS-based spatial analysis, and is dedicated to promoting data-driven approaches for building healthier and more resilient cities.
