Recent advances in space-based remote sensing and satellite data collection are advancing our ability to collect meaningful geospatial data for a broad variety of applications. Technologies that enable data collection – such as small satellites, miniaturization of processors, and advances in transmission and analysis technology – have allowed for more plentiful and quicker data collection. In addition, new sensor technologies (hyper spectral sensors, lidar, and more) have broadened the usefulness of the data that is collected. In this webinar, panellists will discuss the latest advances in satellite remote sensing and how satellite data is being used for practical applications.
