The 77th International Astronautical Congress (IAC 2026) will take place in Antalya, Türkiye (5–9 October 2026) under the theme “The World Needs More Space.” The Congress brings together space agencies, industry, researchers, and policymakers for a week of plenaries and high-level events alongside a large technical programme.

Programme outline at a glance


The week combines technical sessions and special sessions, plus plenary events, interactive presentations, and a major exhibition. The published “at a glance” programme also highlights recurring formats such as Global Networking Forum (GNF) sessions, industry and science/academic breakfast events, luncheons/receptions, and a closing ceremony.

Call for Papers structure


Submissions are organised across five main categories: Science & Exploration, Applications & Operations, Technology, Infrastructure, and Space & Society.

Space-for-water relevance 


For water and environmental audiences, the main entry point is the Earth Observation Symposium (B1) within the technical programme.
