Solar Sail

A solar sail is a propulsion device that relies on solar radiation pressure rather than Newton's Third Law (Action-Reaction) to produce thrust. Solar sails produce thrust proportional to their cross-sectional area exposed to sunlight and the reflectivity of the material the sail is made of.
