Over the years, the EUMETSAT user conference has become a key annual event for the meteorological and scientific communities where participants from around the world can meet to share their experience and knowledge during plenary, poster and workshop sessions.

The overarching theme of the conference is “From Space to Safety: Earth Observation for Future Weather and Climate Preparedness”.

Further information about the scientific content will be made available with the first announcement in January 2025.

Call for proposals

For our 2025 annual conference, we would like to invite you to actively shape discussions by submitting session topics and ideas for consideration by the conference programme committee, for inclusion in the conference programme.

Submission guidelines:

  1. Topic Relevance: Session topics, panel discussions, and lunchtime talks should be relevant to the themes of meteorology, satellite technology, climate change, and their applications.
  2. Abstract: Provide a brief abstract (maximum 700 words) summarising your idea, the topic involved, and how it relates to the overall conference theme.
  3. Suggested Chair Information: Include the name, affiliation, and contact information of the suggested Chair(s), and/or speakers.
  4. Format: Indicate the preferred format for your session (e.g., panel discussion, presentations, lunch time talk).
  5. Deadline: All submissions must be received by 15 November 2024
