Biography
Sandesh Sharma, a Civil Engineer by profession, now he is a program manager for a Geo-ICT company. His academic background includes a specialization in Ground Water Engineering during his Bachelor's studies. Currently, Sandesh is pursuing a Master's degree in geoinformatics to further deepen his knowledge in this field. Throughout his career, Sandesh has gained experience working with remotely sensed and space-based data, including satellite imagery and UAV imagery. He has contributed to research endeavors, notably as a co-author on a project utilizing Google Earth Engine (GEE) and remotely sensed data, coupled with explainable machine learning techniques. This research aimed to uncover the factors influencing the presence of groundwater potential in data-scarce and difficult-to-reach terrains. The outcomes of this project hold significant management implications for water resource management strategies.
