Overview

The World Water Forum is the world's largest event on water. It has been organized every three years since 1997 by the World Water Council, in partnership with a host country. The 1st World Water Forum was held in Marrakesh in 1993 with few hundred participants. The World Water Forum has grown to be one of the most attended world events, with the number of participants ranging from a few hundred at its start to tens of thousands participants in recent editions.

How can geospatial technologies and remote sensing monitor the progress towards SDGs relater to water and health? With the recent adoption of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the call by UN Secretary General for a “revolution” in the use of data for sustainable development, geospatial technologies have tremendous potential to efficiently monitor SDGs progress. Since the adoption of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), the amount of data available, data collection, and processing methods have changed substantially.

What is World Water Week?

World Water Week is the leading conference on global water issues. In 2021 it will be held digitally on 23-27 August. Join us for an intensive week of learning and collaboration on the theme Building Resilience Faster. Together we can develop solutions to address climate change and other water-related challenges.

The Global Institute for Water Security at the University of Saskatchewan and the Let's Talk About Water Film and Water Symposia are proud to present the international Water Film Prize and Let's Talk About Water Film Festival, being held for the first time in Saskatoon, Canada from June 13 - 19, 2020. 

The Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee and the National Institute of Hydrology Roorkee jointly decided to organize regular international conference every 2 years in the area of various facets of water to be known as Roorkee Water Conclave. The present water conclave is being organized broadly focusing on "Hydrological Aspects of Climate Change".

The Young Water Professionals BeNeLux conference gathers enthusiastic professionals working on research, public sector and industry from the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg. This is a great opportunity to broaden your scope on water-related topics and create a network including different actors. This edition will be held at the Delft University of Technology, located in a popular touristic destination in the Netherlands famous for being the birthplace of microbiology under the discoveries of Antonie van Leeuwenhoek and Martinus Beijerinck.
