Application deadline: March 20, 2023

The inaugural combined MIT Water, Food & Agriculture Innovation Prize, supported by MIT Water Club, MIT Food and Agriculture Club, and MIT J-WAFS, is the premier business plan and pitch competition for U.S. University and Graduate students developing new products or technologies to improve sustainability in our water, food, and agriculture system. The systems have numerous opportunities and challenges to solve related to policy, technology, data sensing, analytics, implementation, financing, end-to-end solutions, etc. We encourage diverse and creative submissions.

The competition will take place in two stages. The first-round applications are due on March 20th. Finalists' teams can elect to be paired with mentors to develop their ideas further. This year at the final pitch event in May in Cambridge, MA, finalists will present their business plans and compete to win up to $50,000 in total prize money and invaluable mentorship and networking opportunities to help expand their businesses.
